The International Business School Maastricht (IBSM) is situated in Maastricht (NL). IBSM consists of the IB programme and the research centre for Sustainable International Business (SIB). Distinctive features of IBSM are its focus on intercultural communication, sustainable international business and its international orientation. Team

Jeanine Gregersen-Hermans (MSc, PhD)

is a senior lecturer-researcher at IBSM, and a certified Earth Charter Educator. In her research she focusses on the intersections between internationalisation, intercultural competence development, education for sustainable development, and the implications for the curriculum and training of academic staff. She is a member of the Supervisory Board of Thomas More University and affiliate faculty of the Center for Higher Education Internationalisation (CHEI) in Milan.

IB offers a full-time three-year and a four-year bachelor’s degree programmes in international business, and to date has about 700 students. IB further distinguishes itself by a strong corporate connection and an innovative student-centred educational approach, called Student in the Lead.
SIB conducts applied research into the design and development of sustainable business strategies in the field of management, marketing, finance, and supply chain management. The Centre includes three research lines: SMEs’ Sustainable Behaviour; SMEs’ Intercultural Awareness & Internalisation; and pedagogical innovation by embedding ethics, responsibility and sustainability (ERS), international intercultural and global dimensions (IIG), and social entrepreneurship as the defining lens in the IB programmes. IBSM is a signatory of the Principles of Responsible Management (PRME) and is EFMD Programme Accreditation since 2016.
